MY APPROACH

When we meet my first objective is to create a space for you that feels safe, engaging and generative to your growth and goals. I welcome all genders, sexual identities and relationship models. I have a holistic approach of assessment and interventions, understanding that stress impacts our mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health. In a session with me you can expect a warm, empathic, collaborative and engaged presence. I hold the space for depth oriented work while also offering ongoing psycho education and coaching that benefits you practicing and gaining new skills from our first session onward. My hope is that through education and skills training you will both increase your sense of empowerment and body awareness, and have expanded capacity for gaining insights while navigating your thoughts, emotions and relational experiences. This fosters the space for deeper work while making lasting changes in how you carry yourself, and how you meet the world. I combine mindfulness skills with somatic embodiment and regulation strategies, alongside cognitive therapies that work with thoughts and narratives. Additionally I provide psycho-education about the nervous system and the attachment system. In my 15 years of practice I’ve found this to be an effective combination to promote symptom relief and healing. This helps my clients build their confidence with decision making and boundary setting, fostering a clear and grounded sense of self.
