My Experience

I attained my Master’s degree in Transpersonal and Somatic Psychology from John F. Kennedy University in 2008, and became licensed in 2011, Ive been in private practice since then. My undergrad degree was in Anthropology with a focus in medical anthropology and holistic health, laying a socio cultural framework to view mental and relational health through which was an excellent compliment to my MA. Along with my private practice I have a background working in community mental health for 9 years, as well as providing mental health support services at summer camps and remote gatherings centered around community education and healing. I’ve also been practicing sound therapy, energy and body work for 17 years.

My Therapy Style and Beliefs

STYLE

I combine mindfulness and somatic regulation tools with cognitive therapies to support you strengthening your self knowledge and confidence. Through a combination of education and skills training you will both increase your sense of empowerment and body awareness, and have expanded capacity for gaining insights, while navigating your thoughts, emotions and relational experiences.

BELIEFS

Being a human being in the modern world is not an easy endeavor, no matter what your circumstances are, suffering and loss are inevitable. Learning to hold oneself by developing the capacity to be with strong feelings, while also knowing one's boundaries, enables navigating life’s journey with more ease. We are not meant to go through this alone. Together we can foster the space for deeper work while making lasting changes in how you carry yourself, and how you meet the world.
